We are a three man (ummm.... person) team.

I (Tim) am the owner and I am responsible for marketing, new products, and initially meeting with potential customers. Oh yeah.... and videotaping every wedding!!

Anyone who has called or emailed us knows the second member of our team, Kristy. Kristy is the energizer battery behind our business. She is responsible for all contact that customers have after their initial meeting. Her follow up skills and attention to detail has made our company one of the most responsive and quick to answer. Kristy also is responsible for (with the assistance of photographers) creating the artwork on the DVD labels and cases as well as the creation of the DVD menus and the DVD itself. Nobody is as easy going as Kristy and she will bend over backwards for any and every customer.

The third member of our team for the past 7 months has been Carolyn Hall. Carolyn came to us from the Boston Redsox. That's right.... The Boston Freakin' Redsox...... do you believe that..... she even has a world series ring for being part of the world champion editing team from 2004. Carolyn decided after leaving her previous employer to do some freelance work. I met her at a wedding that she was a guest at and after interviewing her the next week she became part of the Video Visions Forever team.

Right away I could tell that her editing speed and accuracy could help us deliver customer's work on time and earlier than promised. What I did not expect was that her knowledge of the editing program would actually make our videos better..... but it did. Also, our brides seem to enjoy the "woman's touch".

As the 2008 wedding season is fast approaching, carolyn broke the news that she was offered a huge opportunity to shoot and edit for a nationally acclaimed and award winning TV station.... IN ALASKA!!!!

AAARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Things were running so smoothly and now this!!!!!!

Well Carolyn has decided to continue to be part of the Video Visions Forever team. How you may ask???? With a little thing called the internet. Carolyn will still be editing for us (only in Alaska now), then emailing the finished product. Our customers will get the same quality work in the same time frame.... but with a cool twist.

wedding video picked up 3 1/2 years later!!!

So.... we get a call a couple days ago and a gentleman on the other side says...

"ummmm... I'm a little embarrassed to be calling you but I would like to pick up my November 2004 wedding video"

It would seem that the bride's birthday is next week and all she wanted for her birthday was her wedding video.

The video has been ready for quite some time now and every time we were in contact with the customer we were told "I'll call you to set up a time to pick up the video". It would seem that it may have taken a while, but we are glad that they now have their video.

The customer promised to email us after watching it, we will post their comments when they do...

Larry picked up his video last night and this morning we got the following email...

Tim,

Thank you so much for an excellent DVD of our wedding. I picked the DVD up last night with the intention of giving it to my wife for her birthday next week, but as soon as she got home I couldn't wait to see it. I can't believe the quality and thoughtfulness you put into the final product. From the selection of pictures and music that went great together to the way you blended the video from scene to scene throughout the production of the DVD. You captured everything that was meaningful to us and more. You took the time to circulate through the guests and wedding party getting comments and video we'll Cherish for a life time. You are the epitome of professionalism and I feel you are the top of your craft. I would highly recommend you to anyone that wants a truly great memory of their special event. Just so you know, my wife was so taken by this production she cried and clapped after the video was done. Thank you again for such a great product.

We are the first to offer Blu-Ray!!!!

We are extremely pleased to announce that we are now offering our customers Blu-Ray!!!

As of March 2, 2008 we officially launched the Blu-Ray offer to our customers in our new marketing material and on our website.

We have not yet found any other wedding videography company offering Blu-ray and we believe we are the first.... WOOHOO!!!!! THE FIRST!!!!!

It's been an uphill battle for almost a year.

Will Blu-Ray win the HD battle?
Will our computer handle burning Blu-Ray?
If we can burn Blu-Ray will it be cost effective for our customers?
How long will it take to make a Blu-Ray disc?
Will our Blu-Ray discs be compatible with every player out there?
How will Blu-Ray look compared to DVD's?

All these questions needed to be answered before we could offer Blu-Ray to our customers. We answered all of our concerns and now after a year of research and developement we are there.

BLU-RAY WORKS!!!!!

So..... now that the format war is over... it is time to get serious about the next generation of wedding videos.

I have been doing a ton of research on Blu-Ray (my assistant will tell you that i am obsessed) and came across a very informative video online that explains how to create a blu-ray disc so let the testing begin....

We started by ordering a $600 blu-ray burner for the editing computer (mac of course) and a few blank blu-ray discs ($13ea.). We took 40 seconds of HD Footage from a wedding and following the directions...... created our first blu-ray disc.

WOOHOO!!!!! or not :-(

When i went to play it on the blu ray player that we bought for our office, it did not work. I bought the player off of ebay over a year ago (for $500) and it has never quite worked right since receiving it in the mail.

So I took my new blu-ray disc and traveled to a friends house who I knew had a PlayStation 3.

I put the blu-ray disc in.......... It spun up....... And HOLY COW...... IT PLAYED!!!!!!!!!

Not only did it play.... but it looked AWESOME!!!! Just as good as any HD MOVIE or Sporting event that I have seen on TV. Looking back..... I wish we had blu-ray all along!

I was shocked that my first sample had worked. WOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Now I realized that traveling 10 minutes to a friends house everytime I try something new does not make sense.... so the next day I drove to a local videogame store and bought my own PS3.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to ever buy a PS3 and write it off as a tax deduction.... but i am the only person I know who has.

Funny story. I met with a potential client the other day. The Bride-to-be (Tammy) and the Groom-to-be (Steve) arrived with their 11 year old son (Shane) and five year old son (Austin).

First off a bridal appointment can take 60 to 90 minutes or longer depending on how many questions the customer has, so when a bride and groom show up with children, I am always a little weary.

Shane was was very well behaved. Not fidgety, not interruptive, not shy, just a perfect 11 year old. I do of course try to involve and include all that attend to be part of the meeting, including any children. After all, it is their day too. As far as 11 year olds go, I cannot say I've ever seen one better behaved.

Now lets discuss the five year old. Austin arrived to the meetings asleep in dad's arms and remained sleeping throughout the entire meeting. Half way through the meeting, still in deep sleep, he started to snore for just a few seconds..... and loudly. The whole room erupted in laughter as the 5 year old stayed asleep.

Leave it to a sleeping 5 year old to add some comic relief to any situation!!!

What is Blu-Ray?

BLU RAY!!! BLU RAY!!! BLU RAY!!!

It is official, Blu-ray beat out HD-DVD, and the war is over!!!!

For Those of you who do not understand what i am referring to, there was a battle going on over the next generation of high definition media. Back in the '80s there were two videotape formats.... VHS and Beta and obviously VHS won. In the '90s, DVD's were introduced which created discs that were 4 times the quality of VHS. In late 2006 two technologies emerged for the next generation of discs.... Blu-ray and HD-DVD. Blu-ray won and boasts a quality six times better than DVD.

Anyone who has ever watched a show or sporting event on their HD cable box and HD TV knows that the quality of HD is AWESOME!!!

Our dedication to offering our customers the best quality videos has led us to hopefully being the first wedding videography company in Nesw England to offer Blu-ray as an option to our customers.
